Your Child Is in Great Hands
Our Mission
It is the mission of The Exploration Station Early Learning Center to provide safe, high-quality child care and education to families in our community at an affordable rate. Our focus is to engage children ages 6 weeks- 5 years in a child-led curriculum that incorporates a mix of nature and technology, play-based learning, exploration, and discovery. Our highly qualified, long-term teachers will guide children through authentic learning experiences while consistently learning with children and from children. Our top priority is to include the child, their family, and educators as partners in each child’s individualized learning adventure.
Our Vision
It is the vision of The Exploration Station to help all families in Jefferson County receive the education their children deserve, regardless of income or abilities. We strive to increase the knowledge of state child care subsidies available, and offer tuition scholarships to families. It is our goal to implement an education and assistance program entitled, Moving Mountains. This program will offer free prenatal and infant care classes to families as well as free infant supplies including diapers, wipes, formula, bottles to families in need. Our hope is to open 5 centers in the Jefferson County area in order to serve more families.
Meet Our Staff
At the Exploration Station, we take pride in the role we play in children's lives. Our teachers thrive on encouraging creativity and fostering new discoveries made by our students. You'll find our staff to be fearless of paint in their hair or dirt on their hands. We find inspiration in walking hand-in-hand with our students on their learning journey. All of our staff members dedicate themselves to enrich each and every student's exploration experience.
